Woodbury schools named best in state

WOODBURY - Woodbury's two public high schools have earned a place among the top high schools in Minnesota.

Woodbury High School has earned the rank of #16 and East Ridge High School has earned the rank of #36 on the U.S. New Best High Schools 2013 rankings.

Math and Science Academy ranked #22.

In order to be eligible for a state ranking, a school must be awarded a national gold or silver medal, according to the U.S. News website.

Minnesota has six gold medal schools, 40 silver medal schools and 90 bronze medal schools, according to the report.

The top ranked school on the list is Mahtomedi Senior High School.

Rounding out the top 10 are: Edina, St. Anthony Village, TrekNorth, Wayzata, Minnetonka, Eagan, Mounds View, Century and Irondale high schools.
