The UW-River Falls Art Department is sponsoring a student exhibition and fashion show of Wearable Art in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building Feb. 8-23. A reception and fashion show will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Gallery 101.
The UW-River Falls Art Department is sponsoring a student exhibition and fashion show of Wearable Art in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building Feb. 8-23. A reception and fashion show will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Gallery 101.
The Wearable Art Exhibition and Fashion show celebrates the artistic talents of students taking art classes at UW-River Falls during the 2011-12 school year. “Wearable art” includes almost all non-traditional materials.
There will be prizes in the categories of the Most Inventive Wearable Art Garment and Most Creative use of non-traditional materials. The Best In Show prize will be chosen by popular vote.
Visitors may see the display Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and Sunday 2-4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
