UPDATED: River Falls man hurt in car-tree crash

A River Falls man was listed in stable condition late Tuesday morning at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, a day after his vehicle left CTH O, south of River Falls, and struck a tree.

A River Falls man was taken directly to Regions Hospital in St. Paul Monday after his vehicle left CTH O, south of River Falls, and struck a tree.

Adam Morgan, 28, was listed in stable condition late Tuesday morning. A hospital spokeswoman said that meant Morgan was "stable, conscious, but a little uncomfortable".

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department said Morgan was northbound on CTH O, about a half-mile south of State Highway 65 at 2:05 p.m. when he lost control, entered the ditch and hit a tree.

Deputies were assisted by River Falls fire and ambulance services at the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
