Upcoming blood drive opportunities include next Monday from 8:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m. at Ellsworth High School, 323 Hillcrest in Ellsworth. The goal there is to collect 120 units of blood.

“The need for blood continues to grow, but there are not enough blood donors and that’s cause for concern,” said Rick Panning, CEO of the North Central Blood Services. “You can make a difference. Make an appointment to donate blood today by calling 1.800.GIVE.LIFE or visit givebloodgivelife.org.”

Simply call Sharlene Kreye at 273-3911 to make an appointment to give. Walk-ins are welcome.

All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be at least 17-years-old and must weigh at least 110 pounds.
