SPRING VALLEY -- Cindy and the Adult Community Choir have been busy practicing the music, hunting down late 1950-early 1960s dresses, and generally getting the Malt Shop ready to open for their concert at the Spring Valley Theater on Friday, April 11.
They will be joined by the "Trigger Happy Band" on April 11 and the "Over 50s Band" on April 12 and 13, with their favorite '50-'60s songs.
Audiences won't want to miss meeting the "Leader of the Pact," "Johnny Angel," Runaround Sue," "Barbara Ann" or Larry and the PBS doing a Beach Boys medley. They all bring back the true music spirit of the '60s.
The 47 members are a true community choir, from Baldwin, Ellsworth, Elmwood, Glenwood City, Spring Valley and Woodville. They welcome a new pianist, Jan Hansen, for their Sunday performance.
The Spring Valley Chamber of Commerce will serve concessions as a fundraiser.
Although the April 11 performance is sold out, some tickets are still available for Saturday, April 12, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. Contact Cindy at 715-778-5583 to make reservations.
