Four Wisconsin teams will play their first games today in the NCAA Division 3 baseball tournament.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is hosting one of eight regionals and top-seeded St. Thomas will kick things off at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) this morning against No. 6 Knox College.

At 1 p.m., second-seeded UW-Whitewater will play No. 5 St. Scholastica. Then at 4 p.m., third-seeded Carthage will take on the fourth-seeded and host school UW-Oshkosh.

Meanwhile, UW-Stevens Point will play Linfield of Oregon around mid-afternoon at the Moline, Ill., Regional. The Pointers have the second seed. As the WIAC champs, Point was the only Wisconsin school to get an automatic bid.

All the regionals have a double-elimination format. The winners will advance to the Division 3 World Series during the Memorial Day weekend at Fox Cities’ Stadium near Appleton.
