The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) invites the public to learn about replacement plans for the Minn. Hwy. 61 Mississippi River bridge at Hastings, Minn., during a public open house meeting this Wednesday.
Citizens are invited to attend the open house from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hastings City Hall, 101 Fourth St. East in Hastings. Formal presentations will be held at 4:30 and 6 p.m.

Input received will assist in the development of guidance for evaluating potential solutions, including replacement bridge alternatives.
Displays illustrating preliminary designs and plans will be available to assist in the discussion of project goals and objectives. Representatives from MnDOT and the City of Hastings will be in attendance to answer questions.
MnDOT has established the goal of getting the Hastings bridge improvements under contract by June 1, 2010.
