Reception in Prescott July 13 honors military personnel
PRESCOTT — The Prescott Historical Society invites all military personnel and families to a very special reception to honor those who served in the military.
PRESCOTT — The Prescott Historical Society invites all military personnel and families to a very special reception to honor those who served in the military.
The reception will be on Sunday, July 13, from 1-4 p.m. at Prescott’s Welcome and Heritage Center (by the Bell Tower at the Hwy. 10 bridge).
Bring the entire family to be treated royally and to see a remarkable display called “The Private Soldiers.” The exhibit honors recent participants in their Iraq tour from Wisconsin’s Army National Guard’s 2-127th Infantry Battalion’s year-long duty there.
Showcased are vivid pictures and text documenting the Battalion’s entire deployment. (The traveling exhibit will remain on display until July 15. Visitors are welcome to view it until then.)
