A Project Lifesaver Golf Benefit will be held Monday, Sept. 8, at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club, River Falls.
Soft spikes are required for the four-person scramble. The schedule shows 10:30 a.m. to noon registration and lunch. At 12:30 p.m. is the 18-hole shotgun tournament.
Events are raffle and silent auctions, a hole-in-one car give-a-away, and prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt and putting contest.
The registration fee of $75 includes: lunch, practice range, golf, cart and dinner. Registration is limited. Thursday, Aug. 28, is the deadline to register.
The sheriff’s departments of Pierce and St. Croix counties, together with Project Lifesaver International, are implementing a program dedicated to safeguarding and locating individuals who may wander and become lost due to conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Autism and Down Syndrome. Project Lifesaver is available to law enforcement agencies who receive the training and equipment necessary to locate clients who may become lost.
The primary mission is to locate and rescue missing persons. The partnerships aim to help save money and time for taxpayers.
