Letter: Crack down on drinking 365 days a year, she says

TO THE EDITOR:

So you are having a crackdown on drunk driving now underway.

Good. But why just for one week?

Long ago, there should have been a crackdown—they should lose their car or whatever they drive, forever.

What, please tell me, is so wonderful about drinking? To me, it breaks up homes. People get in fights all because of booze in their bodies.

More people get killed in alcohol-related crashes in Wisconsin than our fine folks fighting war.

Please crack down on drinking 365 days a year, not just for one week to prevent drunken driving. Don’t drink any booze, ever. There are just too many beer joints in Ellsworth and elsewhere.

So come on folks, put your hard-earned money for food on the table and pay your bills—and you’ll feel good at the same time.
