SV Dam Days holds more fun than ever Sept. 19-21
SPRING VALLEY—There’s more on the celebration menu for the 41st annual Spring Valley Dam Days Friday-Sunday, Sept. 19-21.
From sports to music, prizes to pageantry and food to fun, the weekend promises to hold a full line-up of events.
The festivities actually get underway Monday, Sept. 15, when the Dam Days Treasure Hunt begins. One clue will be posted daily at 9 a.m. at Spring Valley Drug until Sept. 20, when clue postings will be at 9 a.m., noon, 3 and 5 p.m. The prize is a 2007 U.S. silver proof set of 14 coins, to be awarded prior to the Grand Parade. The winner must have a Dam Days button.

@t:At 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, downtown food stands will open for the first time. They’ll reopen at 9 a.m. both Saturday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 21.
The Spring Valley Cardinals will compete against Elk Mound in a homecoming football game at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the local football field.
Music rounds out the evening, including “Scotty Reed” playing at the Iron Horse Saloon beginning at 8:30 p.m. and karaoke by Bunes at 9 p.m. at Bill’s Bar.
