TO THE EDITOR:
Ellsworth Chiropractic Wellness Center would like to commend everyone involved in making the first annual “Tools for Schools” drive such a huge success.
Together with our sponsors, we collected everything from notebooks to backpack, crayons to tennis shoes, which has already been distributed to school children across Pierce County.
We would like to give a heart-felt appreciation to our sponsors: Massage by Megan, Pamida and Pierce County Human Services for their support of the event.
It was one gratifying experience built on another, from the generosity of the community to the participation of the sponsors. If there had only been one young child’s life that was positively affected this year, the event would have been successful enough, but with the support and generosity of the entire community, we helped many students.
The unfortunate part is that the need for school supplies doesn’t end once school starts, but continues throughout the entire academic year. It’s not too late to help. If you have extra schools supplies or are looking for a simple way to make a difference for a young child, please send the supplies to school with your child.
Our intention is to expand the event next year so that we can have an even greater reach. Individuals or organizations who would like to be involved are invited to contact me at 273-4115.
