Plum City FFA hosts Legion lunch

The Plum City FFA chapter hosted a Veterans Day luncheon in honor of American Legion Post 365 at the Plum City Legion Hall.

The Plum City FFA chapter hosted a Veterans Day luncheon in honor of American Legion Post 365 at the Plum City Legion Hall.

There were 48 Legion members, spouses and guests present.

For the last five years, the FFA has hosted a luncheon on Veterans Day as a thank you to the men and women for serving our country and to their families for supporting them during their service years.

The following FFA officers served the meal: Jacob Gilles, Kyle Gilles, Zachary Gilles, Beth Fetzer, Amanda Daleiden, Andy Heath and Tyler Hanson.

FFA advisor Peg Skogen said the luncheon is one of the chapter’s annual community service activities. It’s also one of the students’ favorites, said Skogen, because veterans are about leadership and community service, which are also goals of the FFA

“I think the two organizations go hand-in-hand,” Skogen said.

Kris and Sherri Almsted from Annabell’s Catering of Plum City catered the meal.
