County offers trees for sale

Pierce County is offering trees for sale in small quantities.

This year, the county’s land conservation department is offering Emerald Green Arborvitae, Techny Arborvitae, Red Pine, White Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce, White Spruce, White Birch, Magenta Crab, Red Oak, White Oak, Flame Maple, Silver Maple, Black Walnut, American Highbush Cranberry and Alegheny Serviceberry. The department will accept orders until sold out.

To request information or an order form, call the department at (715) 273-6763 or download an order form from the department link at www.co.pierce.wi.us. Trees will arrive mid-April.

In addition to the tree sales program, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) sponsors a bulk tree sales program. For more information, call DNR Forester Gary Zielske at (715) 273-5525.
