Emerson returns to Elmwood for holiday show

ELMWOOD — Vicky Emerson will return to her hometown of Elmwood for a special solo acoustic holiday show at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday at the Elmwood Auditorium.

ELMWOOD — Vicky Emerson will return to her hometown of Elmwood for a special solo acoustic holiday show at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday at the Elmwood Auditorium.

She returns after non-stop touring through the Midwest, Texas, California and in her new hometown of Manhattan while promoting her most recent self-titled release that is gathering radio play and praise across the nation.

For the holiday show, Emerson will share some of her hilarious stories from the road while delighting listeners on her piano and guitar. This is the sixth year she has returned to Elmwood to perform her holiday show.

Emerson started her career in Chicago as a piano player for Nordstrom’s department store. From there, she moved to Minneapolis, quit her day job at an opera company and released her critically acclaimed album, “Reach.” Emerson is presently working on songs for a new album due to be released next fall.

Cost for the holiday show is $5 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free. Tickets are general admission and can be purchased at the door. For more information, contact the Village of Elmwood Office at 639-3792.
