Pack may hold off on ticket price hike

It’s standard procedure for the Green Bay Packers to raise their ticket prices every two years, but while they’re due for a hike in 2009, Packers’ President Mark Murphy says the front office is still deciding whether to go ahead with it.
Murphy says team officials are taking a look at how the recession has affected their fans and they’ll decide soon what to do.
Green Bay has the 24th-highest average ticket price of the 32 NFL teams -- $63.39, more than nine-dollars below the league average. That doesn’t include premium seats.
Several teams have already said they won’t raise ticket prices this fall. In fact, the Detroit Lions plan to cut some of their general seating prices by eight-percent and they’re making major cuts for club seats.
