Ellsworth boys hoops break losing streak

BOYCEVILLE - Ellsworth High School's boys' basketball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 71-67 non-conference win over Boyceville.
The Bulldogs, 2-6 overall, led 31-28 at halftime before the Panthers, 4-5 overall, rallied in the second half.
Drew Hipple led EHS in scoring with 16 points, including three three-pointers. Teamate Caleb Peterson sank two treys of his own and scored 14 points. Nick Niedfeldt finished with 13 points.
Ellsworth is off until Friday when they travel to Amery.
