A Prescott man was sentenced Tuesday in Pierce County Circuit Court to two years probation for battery of a police officer.

Aaron E. Litscher, 29, was also ordered to serve 15 days jail, along with completing alcohol and drug assessment and domestic violence counseling.

The charges stem from an incident last September in which Prescott police were dispatched to Litscher’s address for a possible domestic. Police were also informed it had been physical and they heard some glass break.

Upon arrival, Prescott Police Officer Krystal Johnson spotted Litscher outside his home and said twice she wanted to talk to him. He responded with profanities both times. In her report, Johnson noted she could smell intoxicants coming from Litscher.

Litscher ran back into his home, slamming the door on Johnson, who then received assistance from fellow Officer Jeff Beltz. Shortly after Beltz’s arrival, Johnson told Litscher the pair was coming into the house. Litscher charged at the door, slamming it against both Beltz and Johnson, again screaming profanities. Due to the slamming, it split the entire jam and broke.
