PRESCOTT — The Great River Road Learning Center in Prescott will present an exhibit, “From Nature’s Hand,” featuring the art and photography of Dawn Tracy and Lee Packer, opening on Sunday, April 26, and continuing through Sunday, June 7.
A reception and gallery talk will be held on April 26 from 2–4 p.m.
Art photographer Lee Packer finds inspiration in natural formations and the beauty of the St. Croix River Valley. His photographic images are imaginatively manipulated by varying the medium, such as reproducing on bronze and/or creating block prints of images. This show also features some of Packer’s documentary photography of farm houses and barns rapidly disappearing in the valley.
St. Croix Valley native and painter Dawn Tracy makes her home in Osceola. Although she feels most creative when she is painting, her newest passion is capturing the unseen beauty of flowers through photography. Tracy’s selections will be from both mediums. Her artistic challenge to the viewer is to stop and see beauty, not only in a moment in nature, but in each person as well.
