ELMWOOD - Elmwood and Spring Valley-Plum City's softball teams played twice this and the Raiders swept both games to all but eliminated the defending D-SC champs from title contention.
The Raiders won at home Tuesday 9-0 and beat SV-PC in Spring Valley 13-1 Thursday.
Kelsey Leach was the winning pitcher in both games. She gave up nine hits and struck out 13 batters combined in both games. She had 10Ks in Thursday's ballgame.
EHS already led 5-0 in Tuesday's game before Renee Lehmann's grand slam gave them four additional runs in the sixth inning. The Raiders didn't have quite as many hits in Thursday's ballgame but 19 walks took care of moving their base runners.
The Raiders are 8-1 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference and have an important league game Tuesday at home vs. Glenwood City.
