Dairy breakfast back after 10 years
The Pierce County Dairy Promotion Committee, with the support of the Pierce County Farm Bureau and Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, is planning for the return of the June Dairy Breakfast to Pierce County.

As far as anyone can remember, the last dairy breakfast held was around 10 years ago.
Behind the leadership of committee members Dale Hines, Mary Brand and Amy Bechel (host family), the details of the 2009 June Dairy Breakfast are coming together. The host farm will be Maple Grove Dairy, owned by Dave and Amy Bechel of Elmwood. The farm is located west of Elmwood, a mile south of Hwy. 72 on CTH S.
Details of the breakfast are: Saturday June 27, serving from 7 a.m. until noon at Maple Grove Dairy (Dave and Amy Bechel farm), Elmwood. Menu: Dad’s Belgian Waffles, sausage, cheese curds, Culver’s ice cream, milk and coffee.
Cady Cheese and Ellsworth Creamery will also provide cheese samples.
The cost is: $5 for adults, $3 for ages 4-12 and under three is free.
There will also be antique tractors, farm equipment and farm animals on display. The “Milk Buds” will perform, plus there will be many family activities to enjoy.
