Ellsworth-Prescott to square off in baseball regionals

Prescott High School baseball team will find out how hard it is to beat a team three times in one season.
The Cardinals will square off against Ellsworth on May 29 in the first round of the WIAA regionals.
Prescott is the No. 3 seed in their Division 2 regional and Ellsworth is the No. 6 seed. The top two seeds are No.1 ranked Altoona and Bloomer. The Blackhawks host the Ellsworth-Prescott winner on June 2.
Also in the regional is the No.4-5 game between Baldwin-Woodville and Durand. The winner faces Altoona.
The regional finals are on June 3 at the high seed's home field.
Three Pierce County prep baseball teams are in the same Division 4 regional.
Elmwood plays next Friday at Prairie Farm. The Raiders are the No. 5 seed playing the No. 4 seeded Panthers.
The winner faces No. 1 seed Plum City at Legion Park on June 2. In the other regional semifinal, Pepin is at Spring Valley. The finals are on June 3.
