Two relay titles for E-PC, two titles for SV’s Bosshart

Elmwood-Plum City claimed two relay titles while Spring Valley’s Tyler Bosshart won two individual titles at the Dunn-St. Croix Conference Track and Field Meet last Tuesday at St. Croix Central High School in Hammond.
Bosshart won both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes with times of :11.62 and :23.44 respectively. He helped the Cardinals’ 400-meter relay team also win first in :46.13 seconds.
Also on the SV team were Mitch Samuel, Brian Colbenson and Kyle Bosshart.
Elmwood-Plum City claimed relay race titles in both the boys’ and girls’ meets.
E-PC’s girls’ 3200-meter relay team of Becky Hartung, Abbie Hartung, Sarah Claflin and Jordyn Mark won first in a time of 10:36.04. The E-PC boys’ finished second in that race and the 1600-meter relay and won the 800-meter relay title in 1:36.94. Team members are Tim Wayne, Alex Gilles, Gabe Rodriguez and Jesse McKune.
E-PC’s boys team placed fourth while the girls were sixth. Spring Valley showed great improvement from last year’s meet with the boys’ sixth and the girls’s seventh.
Other top Pierce County finishers in the D-SC meet were E-PC’s Nick Kernstock, second in the 110-meter high hurdles; Spring Valley’s Katelyn Neck, second in the high jump and fourth in the 400; E-PC’s Rodriguez finished second in the 200 and the long jump; his teammate Ben Bechel was second in the discus and fourth in the shot put; SV’s Sara Vadnais was third in the 300-meter low hurdles; E-PC’s Amanda Daleiden placed in three events, including a second in the long jump; Valley finished third in the girls’ 1600-meter relay and Abbie Hartung was third in the 3200-meter run.
