Counterfeit bill passed at Ellsworth supermarket
Forgery/counterfeit at Hinck’s Economart in Ellsworth was reported Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
Thefts have been investigated by the Ellsworth Police Department.
Forgery/counterfeit at Hinck’s Economart was reported Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. A counterfeit $20 bill was accepted the previous day for merchandise. The bank confirmed the bill was a counterfeit.
The Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce has issued a caution to area businesses to be aware counterfeit bills which may be circulating.
