Vehicles collide near bridge

A three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 63 at 825th Street near the Eisenhower Bridge in the Town of Trenton was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday. A Dodge Intrepid had severe front end damage and ended up facing north on 63. A Toyota Camry had severe front and rear end damage, and ended up facing south on 63. Information about the reported third vehicle wasn’t available at the scene. The Ellsworth Ambulance Service was sent to the crash site, but later called off. The Ellsworth and Red Wing fire departments, along with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and Red Wing Police Department, also responded. Traffic was backed up in both directions while emergency personnel worked at the location.
