For decades veteran newspaperman Warren Leary Jr. wrote about life in northern Wisconsin.
His family has run the Rice Lake Chronotype weekly newspaper since 1923. Warren Leary Jr. died at his home Monday at the age of 86.
He published the Chronotype for nearly 40 years, before retiring in 1986.
But, he continued writing the award-winning column right up until the time he died.
Leary was inducted into the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Hall of Fame in 2002.
Funeral services will be held Saturday.
