Eight new Ellsworth School District staffers attended a workshop early last week in preparation for the 2009-10 school year that started yesterday.

A Herald survey asking about their backgrounds and positions was given to them during the workshop. Their responses follow:

Wendy Augustine

The Lake City, Minn., native will be teaching at the Lindgren Early Learning Center this year.

Augustine completed her college education at Winona (Minn.) State University. Afterwards, she worked 11 years at a rehab facility for handicapped adults, then opened up a daycare she ran for 11 years.

Augustine now calls Ellsworth home with husband Andrew and their daughters, Kaitlin, and twins Mollie and Lindsey.
