Children can change their parents’ lives in so many ways the potential is unlimited.
For Buena Farrell, being the mother of three–Jazamyn, age 13, Kennedy, seven, and Audrey, four, led her to photography.
“I enjoyed taking photos of my children and capturing their moments,” said Farrell, who explained the interest took off after Kennedy was born (Jazamyn is Farrell’s niece, while Kennedy and Audrey are Buena and husband Kyle’s biological children).
Farrell launched her own photography business one year ago and this Thursday is a celebration of her moving into her own studio--located in the RE/MAX building at 315 West Main St. in Ellsworth. A ribbon cutting will also be held at 5 p.m. that day, welcoming her to the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce.
The Ellsworth native said that, besides her children, another motivating factor for her career in photography was when she joined a club in Red Wing. There, she learned the different aspects of photography and techniques, specifically the processing of editing photos.
