Ellsworth girls win own invite on tie-breaker

Three teams, Ellsworth, Mondovi and Somerset, tied for first in the girls' meet at the Ellsworth Invitational Tuesday. Ellsworth was named the winner in a tie-breaker.

Three teams, Ellsworth, Mondovi and Somerset, tied for first in the girls' meet at the Ellsworth Invitational Tuesday. Ellsworth was named the winner in a tie-breaker.

Spring Valley's Breanna Colbenson won the girls' race in 16:38 while St. Croix Central's Brett Johnson won the boys' race in 16:15.

Ellsworth boys' placed third out of nine schools in the meet. The Panthers had four runners make the top 20. Ellsworth's girls team had three runners in the Top 20.

Osceola edged SCC to win the boys' team title 46-67.
