Four county runners make All-MBC cross country teams

Four Pierce County cross country runners finished in the top 15 of their respective races Thursday at the Middle Border Conference meet.

PRESCOTT - Four Pierce County cross country runners finished in the top 15 of their respective races Thursday at the Middle Border Conference meet.

The top seven runners made the first team all-conference and the next seven runners were on the second team.

Prescott freshman Victoria Simones placed third in the girls' meet in 16:05. She was the only female runner from the county to make all-conference.

Ellsworth placed three boys on the first and teams All-MBC. Isaac Taplin placed fifth, David Klawitter was eighth and Jay Pavloski was 14th.

Both Prescott teams finished sixth while the Ellsworth girls were third and the boys were fourth.

Next weekend are the sectional meets. Prescott will be at Amery, Ellsworth at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau.
