RIVER FALLS—The River Falls Public Library Haunted House will open for business a little earlier this year, starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, with interactive skits putting young visitors to work at “Growwell’s Greenhouse and Nursery,” planting new nursery stock of highly unusual varieties.

Later, they will have a chance to help the beleaguered garden gnomes in the spectacular haunted pumpkins patch.

This annual event is geared toward children age 5-10, but is fun for those of any age and their parents. It is put on by the Haskins sisters, their friends and co-workers, and is partially funded by the library and the AnnMarie Foundation.

There is no admission charge and there will be a bit of candy for the little helpers too. Doors will close at 9 p.m., so don’t be late!

Call the library at (715) 425-0905 for more information.
