The fourth annual “Wine and Wishes” fundraiser for St. Francis School will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the St. Francis Parish Hall in Ellsworth.

The money raised will help the school with rising textbook costs. Last year, with support from donors, over $30,000 was realized; this year’s goal is $35,000.

Organizers are working to make this a community event. The “adults’ night out” will feature wine tasting, hors d’oeurves, beverages, entertainment, and a live and silent auction.

This year’s entertainment from 7 to 9 p.m. will be by Colleen Raye. A silent auction will occur from 7 to 9 p.m., with a live auction conducted by Hines Auction Service at 9 p.m.

Among this year’s donations are a Wood playhouse by Brenner Builders and The Builders Choice, a hot air balloon ride with dinner donated by Lynn Huppert and Vino in the Valley, a hog with processing donated by Zach Hines and Pierce County Meats, a birthday party donated by Fitness Influence, pottery from Red Wing Stoneware, a child’s bow-and-arrow donated by SOS Outdoors, an autographed Gilbert Brown jersey, sporting event tickets including the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Gophers and Milwaukee Bucks, plus many more items donated by local businesses and friends of St. Francis.
