Colbenson, Simones make great debuts at state meet

In their very first-ever WIAA State Cross Country Meets, both Victoria Simones and Breanna Colbenson finished in the top 25 of their respective races Saturday at the The Ridges Golf Course.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - In their very first-ever WIAA State Cross Country Meets, both Victoria Simones and Breanna Colbenson finished in the top 25 of their respective races Saturday at the The Ridges Golf Course.

The Prescott freshman Simones finished 22nd in the Division 2 girls race with a time of 15:50.

The Spring Valley freshman Colbenson took sixth in a time of 15:28.

The girls' course is 4,000-meters in length.
