PHS’ Krech and Stees first team All-MBC

Prescott had Pierce County’s lone two members of the first team, All-Middle Border Conference football squad for 2009.
Seniors Chris Krech and Ty Stees made the first team. Krech was tabbed as a first team guard on offense while Stees was chosen as a first team defensive end.
Stees also made the second team on offense as a tight end. Joining him on the second team was teammate Cole Geiger as a running back
Several Pierce County players did receive honorable mention. Ellsworth senior Josh Fuchs was honorable mention as a wide receiver, as his teammates Cale Huppert as a kicker and Taylor Johnson as a defensive end. Prescott’s Mark Nahorniak was honorable mention as a linebacker.
Other first teamers on offense were lineman Rob Wendt, Isaac Neumann and Jeremy Kelly of Somerset, tackle Matt Bach of Osceola, quarterback Rocky Larson of Somerset, wide reciver Tevin Pittman of Osceola, tight end Jake Keefer of Baldwin-Woodville, running backs Tanner Tryggestad, Cody Taubman and Eric Walczak of Somerset and kicker Cody Berends of Baldwin-Woodville. First teamers on defense were linemen Bach, Wendt and Neumann, defensive ends Jon Willert of Baldwin-Woodville and Jeremy Kelly of Somerset, linebackers Keefer and Walczak, defensive backs Alex Lierman of Durand and Pittman and Tyler Pauley of Osceola and punter Kurt Gehrmann of Amery.
Wendt, Gehrmann, Keefer and Walczak were first teamers last season. Tryggestad, Bach, Pauley, Larson and Pittman were on the second team in 2008 and Lierman and Berends received honorable mention last season.
