Fire Prevention Month recognized

Elmwood fighters arrived in style at Elmwood Schools as part of a fire drill simulation. Captains Mike Baker, Matt Holcomb and firefighter Dave Sundquist arrived at school in the village’s newest fire truck as pupils practiced exiting the building.

While here, the men discussed the job of a firefighter by showing various pieces of equipment and discussing how they are used. The men also emphasized all families should have an escape plan in place at home and a designated location for everyone to meet in case of fire.
