MILWAUKEE - The Marquette men will host South Dakota tonight without center Chris Otule. He could be out for the season after breaking his right foot at practice last night.

Coach Buzz Williams said Otule, a sophomore, will be missed. He said Otule gave the 3-and-0 Golden Eagles a positive impact on both ends of the floor, even though his numbers didn’t show it.

The 6-10 Otule played 25 minutes in Marquette’s first three contests. He averaged around four points, two rebounds, and two blocked shots a game – and he made his first career start in last Saturday’s win over Grambling State.

Otule missed the first 10 games last year, after breaking his other foot at practice. His injury leaves the Golden Eagles with just one player over 6-7. That’s freshman Youssoupha Mbao, who’s 7-2. He has only played six minutes so far.
