Wisconsin Sports- The Wisconsin men’s basketball team lost to Gonzaga 74-to-61 last night in the semi-finals of the Maui Invitational in Hawaii.
MAUI, Hawaii - The Wisconsin men’s basketball team lost to Gonzaga 74-to-61 last night in the semi-finals of the Maui Invitational in Hawaii.
The Bulldogs went up by 10 at the half – and the Badgers got as close as six midway through second half.
Sophomore guard Jordan Taylor scored a career-high 19 points off the bench for Wisconsin, which fell to 3-to-1. Jon Leuer had 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists for the Badgers. Senior guard Matt Bouldin led Gonzaga with 18 points, six boards, and five assists.
Wisconsin will play Maryland late this afternoon in the tournament’s third-place game. The Terrapins lost to Cincinnati 69-to-57 earlier in the day.
