MAUI, Hawaii - Outside shooters for the University of Wisconsin basketball team finally start to find the range, helping the Badgers bounce back from a bad loss to Gonzaga with a 78-69 win over Maryland.
The victory came in the consolation game of the Maui Invitational. Wisconsin's record improves to 4-1, making today's turkey taste a little better.
The Badgers came in hitting just 24 percent of their three-point shots. Against the Terps, they nailed 10 of 22. Senior Jason Bohannon nailed 4-of-5 and scored a game-high 20 points. Jon Leuer had 16 points and seven rebounds.
It looked bad early when the Badgers fell behind 7-0. They went on a 16-2 run and only trailed once the rest of the game.
