Chamber announces quilt winners

The Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce at its annual meeting Nov. 19 announced the following were winners in the quilt raffle sponsored by the chamber.

The Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce at its annual meeting Nov. 19 announced the following were winners in the quilt raffle sponsored by the chamber.

Steve Hinck was the winner of the quilt, which was made by Janelle Enberg; Chase and Katy Giske of River Falls won $250; Joanne Hines of Ellsworth won $100; and Ed Melten of River Falls won $50.

Chamber officials appreciate all the people who purchased tickets for this drawing.

Three new members were elected to the chamber board to succeed Jack and Jeff Hines and Joanne Gulbranson, whose terms expired. They were commended for their three years of service to the club.

Tami Langer, outgoing president, turned over the reins for the new year to Peggy Nelson. Langer was commended on her many years of service to the board and as their leader, but still will reign as chairman. The other officers include: Vice President, Lars Loberg, and Tamara O’Brien, treasurer; new board members are: Dan Duval, Linda Hines and Dan Washburn. Hold-over board members are: Kris Flock, Barry Cain and Alberta Breitung.

Twenty-seven members of the chamber were present to hear the annual report for the year 2009.
