UW women's team goes 3-0 in West Coast tournament

- The Wisconsin women beat Cal State-Fullerton 57-to-44 yesterday, to win the World Vision Invitational in Eugene Oregon. The Badgers out-scored the Titans 18-6 in the final nine minutes to go 3-and-0 at the holiday weekend tournament.

EUGENE, Ore. - The Wisconsin women beat Cal State-Fullerton 57-to-44 yesterday, to win the World Vision Invitational in Eugene Oregon. The Badgers out-scored the Titans 18-6 in the final nine minutes to go 3-and-0 at the holiday weekend tournament.

Wisconsin led by one at the break and held Fullerton to just 30-percent shooting in the second half. The Badgers made all 11 of their free throws, and they used their height advantage to out-score Fullerton in the paint 36-10.

Wisconsin scored 20 points off the Titans' turnovers, while Fullerton scored just five off the Badgers' miscues. Alyssa Karel led Wisconsin with 17 points. Lyndsey Grove scored 16 for Cal State-Fullerton, which fell to 3-and-3.

The Badgers improved to 6-and-1. They'll play at North Carolina State on Thursday in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
