Hunters registered over 3,600 deer at stations throughout Pierce County during the nine-day gun-deer season which ended Sunday.

Hunters registered over 3,600 deer at stations throughout Pierce County during the nine-day gun-deer season which ended Sunday.

Ellsworth’s Speedway station reported the most deer registered in the county, with a total of 1,181. The report from there on Monday showed the total included 473 bucks and 708 does.

Elsewhere in the county, the following reports from registration stations for the season were received: Elmwood, Sandbar Too, a total of 410; Maiden Rock, Park Service and Convenience, a total of 487, including 178 bucks and 309 does; Martell, Red Barn County Store, a total of 263, including 123 bucks and 140 does; Plum City, Dean’s Bar, a total of 494; Prescott, Price Rite Liquors, a total of 137, including 55 bucks and 82 does; River Falls, Bob and Steve’s BP Amoco, a total of 388, including 149 bucks and 239 does; and Spring Valley, Sneakers Pub, a total of 258.
