MADISON - Undefeated Duke visits Madison tonight to play the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten-ACC men’s basketball challenge.
The Badgers are 4-and-6 in the annual series that was made a decade ago for ESPN – and only three of those games were at the Kohl Center. It’s been three years since Wisconsin’s been at home in the challenge, and coach Bo Ryan said he asked Big Ten officials to schedule this year’s contest in Madison.
Duke is 10-and-0 in the challenge. And they’re 6-and-0 this season, ranked fifth by the coaches and sixth by the AP.
Badgers’ senior guard Trevon Hughes says he’d like redemption tonight, after Duke crushed Wisconsin 82-to-58 at Durham two years ago. Guard Jason Bohannon remembered that the Badgers were pushed out of their game plan early, as Duke hit 9-of-16 from three-point range to take a 23-point halftime lead. The Badgers won at Virginia Tech in last year’s Big Ten-ACC Challenge. They carry a 4-and-1 record into tonight’s contest, which starts at 8:15 on ESPN
