UW women's basketball team improves to 7-1 with win over N.C. State

- The Wisconsin women scored their fewest points of the season last night, but it was enough to beat North Carolina State on the road, 53-to-48.

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Wisconsin women scored their fewest points of the season last night, but it was enough to beat North Carolina State on the road, 53-to-48.

The game was tied at 45 when Jamie Russell scored four straight points to put the Badgers in front for good. Taylor Wurtz had 13 points, as Wisconsin out-shot N.C. State 43-to-33 percent to win their part of the women’s Big Ten-ACC Challenge. Bonae Holston scored 13 for North Carolina State.

Wisconsin improved to 7-and-1, and will play at third-ranked Ohio State on Sunday.
