- North Carolina State erased an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Marquette at the Bradley Center Saturday 77-73.

MILWAUKEE - North Carolina State erased an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Marquette at the Bradley Center Saturday 77-73.

The Wolfpack shot a sizzling 71 percent in the second half. Tracy Smith led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Marquette falls to 6-2, but the Eagles have played much better than expected in what was thought to be a rebuilding year. Jimmy Butler led the Eagles with 19 points and a dozen rebounds. Lazar Hayward scored 15.
