MADISON - Wins over ranked opponents Duke and Maryland vault the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team into the Top 25.
The Badgers check in at number 20 in the Associated Press poll released yesterday.
The win over the Blue Devils was especially impressive since Wisconsin made only five turnovers. Trevon Hughes was named Big Ten Player of the Week after scoring 26 against Duke and 20 in the win over Grambling.
The Badgers play in-state rivals UW-Green Bay on the road tomorrow night and Marquette at home Saturday. The next Wisconsin victory will be number 200 for head coach Bo Ryan in his nine seasons coaching in Madison.
