MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks ended a four-game losing streak with a 117-to-95 home win over Toronto last night.
Brandon Jennings scored the final 11 points of the first quarter as the Bucks took a seven-point lead. They were up by 12 at the half, and as many as 20 after that. And they shot 76-percent in the fourth quarter to seal their second victory in their last 10 games.
Seven Milwaukee players scored in double figures. Jennings led the way with 22 before he hyper-extended his left knee in the third quarter. He said he should be ready for Milwaukee’s next game on Saturday night at home against Portland. Roko Ukic, who was traded from Toronto this summer, had 17 against his old team. Luke Ridnour had 15 while playing with a dislocated left elbow suffered in Tuesday night’s loss at Boston.
Milwaukee had 24 assists and just nine turnovers. And they made 24-of-28 from the free-throw line. Chris Bosh scored 26 for Toronto, which ended a three-game winning streak.
Bucks’ coach Scott Skiles was happy to get the win, but he said his team’s struggling defense did not improve very much. Milwaukee won its 10th game against 11 losses.
