CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Marquette women won at Illinois 65-to-55. Junior guard Angel Robinson scored a season-high 32 points for the Golden Eagles, who improved to 6-and-2 while ending the Illini’s seven-game winning streak.
Marquette was down by seven when it went on a 14-2 run to end the first half. Robinson hit three consecutive three-pointers during that stretch.
Illinois got to within three in the closing minutes, but Robinson made a basket and two free throws to help put the Eagles back up by 10.
Marquette will host the Wisconsin Badgers tomorrow night
