Shots fired at The Harbor Bar

A man was shot shortly after midnight this morning near The Harbor Bar according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Lieutenant Dennis Sorenson said in a news release that preliminary investigation showed the man received a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center and then flown by Mayo One helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester where his current condition is unknown. His identity is being withheld.

Sorenson also said additional investigation showed the victim was involved in some type of altercation in the bar that then carried into the parking lot where the incident took place. He further mentioned that no one was in custody.

The Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Red Wing Police Department.
