UWGB women remain unbeaten, winning streak intact

The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team is now 8-0, after winning at Ball State last night 83-to-63.

MUNCIE, Ind. - The U-W Green Bay women’s basketball team is now 8-and-0, after winning at Ball State last night 83-to-63. The Phoenix's regular season winning streak conitinues.

The Phoenix were up by three at the half, despite shooting just 39-percent. But Green Bay shot a whopping 79-percent in the second half, and finished the night at 56-percent.

Celeste Hoewisch had career-highs of 23 points and nine assists, to help give G-B its best start since joining the N-C-A-A’s Division-One in 1987. Emily Maggert had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Ball State, which dropped to 3-and-5.

Green Bay is now 5-and-0 on the road for the first time in its history. They’ll play at Evansville tomorrow.
