MADISON - Jon Leuer scored 24 points and took down a dozen rebounds in Wisconsin's 72-63 win over cross-state rival Marquette.

It was the 200th victory of head coach Bo Ryan's career with the Badgers. Marquette lost for the third time in the last four games after a surprisingly strong start to the season.

Lazar Hayward scored 21 for the Golden Eagles. Hayward also had a dozen rebounds. Wisconsin shot 33 free throws in the victory, while Marquette had only 21 chances.

The Badgers struggled to connect, though, missing nine of their 22 second-half free throw attempts. That helped Marquette stay in the game.

The Badger win broke a two-game losing streak against Marquette.
